Friday Night After Six : The Fellowship of the Meat

Been very busy these past few days because of work load and I don't have any clear mind to write a decent blog entry.  Another day just started and I'm taking a short break from work just to continue telling my story, my adventure and yet another Friday Night experience.

Episode 5 : The Fellowship of the Meat

I left office early because I have to meet somebody so we can watch the latest Harry Potter flick.  As expected, she is late.  I went to the nearest Toy shop to check some Transformers toy and other merchandise to kill some time.  After several minutes of window shopping, I returned to the meeting place and there she is.  We ate first on a fastfood while waiting for the screening time.  We arrived at the cinema several minutes earlier than schedule, just in time for the trailers.

I really expect more from this film.  I haven't read the book but I know the movie is a poor adaptation of its novel counterpart.  On the other hand major characters such as Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) and Harry Potter himself (Danielle Radcliffe)  exhibits good impression in the film and the young wizard improved greatly compared to his earlier films.  I left the cinema very dissappointed.  I think a bottle of beer is enough to take away the angst in my chest.

After a five minute walk in Ortigas, I arrived at Sidebar, our official tambayan but unfortunately my officemates are no longer there.  I texted one of them expecting that she is still partying somewhere else.  She texted back after quite a few minutes saying that she is in this place in Xavierville.  I immediately took a cab and texted her back saying that II'm on my way.

The first time I saw the entrance of the place, I thought it was some kind of a high class resto.  I entered the premises and after a few walks, the place' real identity is revealed.  Bunch of people, mostly college students from nearby universities and office people who's enjoying the nostalgia of being a student once again.  I found my officemates in a small table, drinking beer and eating grilled stuff while chatting with the usual topic plus the typical kulitan and tawanan session.

After three hours of chitchat and countless yak yak, two of my officemates left.  I on the otherhand decided to stay.   My officemate's clique arrived and we joined there group.  I've met two new buds from my officemate's clique.  One that I only saw once and often online and the other one which seems to be an interesting guy with plenty of stories to tell.   Good thing I decided to stay or I will stay pissed all night because of my dissappointment from that movie I watched.  Too bad the only girl in the group,  is already not in the mood and she is hardly enjoying the night. 

We decided to call it a night when we feel that Bungee Jumping boy is already drunk.  Few bottles more and we will end up going to Baguio against our will. 

The four of us went home together in his car, drunk and half wasted but undoubtly satisfied and blissful on each other's company.
