Random Encounters : The Irony of Fatherhood

I watched Disney's The Game Plan after work.  The movie is all about a bachelor football player named Joe Kingman (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) who lived his past 8 years as a celebrity football heartrob in Boston.  He enjoyed the fame and fortune of being famous in his home town as the King of Football.  However, Joe is at his peak of success when he met his never before seen daughter, Peyton Kelly (Madison Pettis). 

Unable to locate the kid's mom, Joe is left with no other choice but to let Peyton stay on his condo.  At first, Joe can't accept the fact that he is already a father.  But as the story unfolds, being together in one roof everyday draws the two much closer giving themselves the chance to know each other very well.  I will not spoil the story but the eventually we know that at the end Joe and his daughter will be together as a one big happy family.

It is a funny movie.  Everyone is laughing inside the cinema.  But someone left the movie house with tears.  How ironic.
