Friday Night After Six : 4 Months Later

Friday na naman.  But not like any other Fridays.  Lahat bago.  New Job, new boss, new desk and new things to worry.  Now I can't just play around like what I use to do before when I was inside the Marketing/Channels room.  Now I'm here in the Creative Department.  This is my new world.  The start of another chapter.

Chapter 8 : 4 Months Later

It's almost 6:00pm, Friday.  The whole week is really full of stress and pressure for all of us.  Sometimes, we just want to scream with all our lungs and call it a day.  Tinatapos na lang namin ang ilang kailngang tapusin bago kami umalis ng opisina.

After I finished polishing some work related matters, I stayed for a while and surfed the net.  But it didn't help. Hindi napawi ang pagod na nararamdaman ko kaya I decided to stroll a little bit.  I went to the MSS department.  Lei, Jonat and Mattel are still there.  We have a little chat and Lei offered me food.  Mind you, she is begging me to take it so I accepted it.  Bumalik ako sa puwesto ko para alukin si Hikari pero mayroon na siyang tsnitsibog.  Kaya mag-isa kong nilantakan ang Pizza at Pasta nabinigay ni Lei.

After a while Jonat asked me if I have anything to do tonight because he and Mattel wll be staying in Sidebar to unwind.  Siyempre sinabi ko wala kaya sasama ako sa kanila.  Halos isang linggo yata akong nabakante sa inom.  Kaya kailngan ko ito para makapag-recharge at nakapag-enjoy. 

The rest of us decided to leave as well except for Cams that needs to work late.  Marami pa kasi siyang kailngang tapusin dahil last day na niya ito sa office.  She suggested na iwanan na lang ang susi sa kanya.  Pagkatapos ng ginagawa niya, pupunta siya ng Sidebar para ibigay ang susi.  Pumayag ako and before leaving, I gave her my number in case she can't find me inside the bar.

Mattel and I arrived first in Sidebar while Jonat dropped by 7-11 to buy some cigarettes.  I approached the bar attendant to reserve a table for us while Mattel stayed in the bar.  Jonat arrived and decided to order drinks.  The three of us start chatting and we get along really easy.  After several minutes, we are transfered to our table.  Jonat ordered for more drinks and a pulutan.  We start talking about, theater, dancing, short films and art.  Bago ito ah.  It is really rare to find people with the same interest like mine.  Naisipan din namin na gumawa ng isang short film.  Jonat starts telling surreal stories while Mattel and I listens attentively.  After the story, we make short commentaries and exchange of thoughts.  I enjoyed that conversation and it is really a while since the time I talked about things of my interest with colleagues like Mattel and Jonat.  After talking about film making, we began talking about our past relationships, tulad ng kung nakailang grlfriend/boyfriend na kami or kung paano kami nakipaghiwalay sa mga ex namin.  It sounds that this subject matter is not new to everyone since this is really the most favorite topic in sessions like this.  The only difference is the approach on how we talked about it. Walang masyadong kantyawan, seryoso pero swabe lang.  Hndi stiff, no one of us tried to preach.  Walang nagmamarunong.  Just simply telling the story of past love.  Hndi nagmukhang corny at baduy ang kwentuhan.  Tama lang.

After several hours of drinking and sharing.  We decided to call it a night.  We settled our bills and left Sidebar.  The three of us parted ways in front Discovery Center where Jonat offered Mattel a ride home.

Its exactly 10pm in the evening.  Cams is surprised that I came back.  She is already finished.  She is expecting that we will be in Sidebar till 12 in the midnight.  Natural na kasi sa mga session ang umagahin.  But I told her that 3 hours is enough to release the stress and tension.  I switched all the lights off.  Chineck ko pa ang ilang mga silid.  Baka may nakabukas na unit.  I locked the office doors while cams signed out in the reception.  Pagkatapos noon, sumakay na kami sa elevator pababa.  She offered me a ride to Shaw Blvd in a cab.  In the cab we got a chance to chat a little till someone called her in the phone.  Di ko na siya inistobo.  Pagod na rin ako.  Medyo tipsy na rin.  We reached Shaw blvd.  Bumaba ako ng cab.  I bid farewell to her as she bids back to me. Tumakbo na ang taxi papalayo, sakay ang isang taong di ko na makikita sa opisina mula Lunes.
