Well, you can always try to redefine your perception of inspiration. I guess you are one of those people who think that a muse or an inspiration has to be in the form of a woman that you have a high chance of falling in love with.
A muse doesn't necessarily have to be a woman, a muse can be anything. A man, a dog, a pebble; heck, if you're sick enough it can even be a piece of turd lying on the ground.
Stephen King himself says that his muse is some imaginary pipe smoking man who cusses a lot. So yours could be something in the same league, if you choose it to be.
When you start liking someone, suddenly your happiness isn’t yours anymore. It’s like there’s this wild card you’re always waiting for to pop out of the deck and make your day. :D
